She is fluent in Spanish and speaks some French.  Melanie spent several years living in Mexico. She is the proud parent of many senior cats who she shares with her husband Jay. Yes, she is the crazy cat lady. She participates in trap and release whenever a stray shows up at her front door and she tries to re-home any adoptable cats. Shirley

Client Service Representative

Shirley is prideful in her Japanese-American heritage, her mother is Japanese and her father is retired Air Force. Born on Eglin AFB she has always called our area home.  Shirley joined Companion June of 2020. Experience as a Certified Radiology Technician and medical assistant working in phlebotomy, ultrasound, and with EKG she is no stranger to the medical field. We are very happy she chose to transition to the veterinary side! Shirley in 2020 adopted a sweet  rescue lab/shepherd puppy who was found at one week old in a ditch. Her now happy and healthy stud of a pup is named Warren.  Shirley can be found weight lifting when she is not busy enjoying quality time with Warren.

Natalie

Client Service Representative

Natalie is her family's 3rd generation born and raised in Reno Nevada. She earned her Associates Degree in Architecture at Truckee Meadows Community College. Before transitioning to veterinary medicine in 2020 Natalie worked in the human medical field, primarily with internal and specialty medicine. At home she has a 4-year-old mixed breed dog named Wall-E she adopted from the Nevada Humane Society at 2 months old. Natalie is a HUGE dog lover. She considers herself to be a Pit Bull advocate educating people on the areas which the breed can be misunderstood. She enjoys crocheting and collecting coffee mugs. In Natalie's opinion when it comes to mugs the bigger and more unique the better.

The apple of Carlie's eye is Striker, an American Staffordshire Terrier who came into her life 6 months after losing her first beloved dog. Striker was 2 weeks old and had a rough start of life before Carlie met him and made him a part of her family. She enjoys taking Striker on outdoor adventures including boating. Carlie spends her free time hanging out with family and friends, motorcycle riding, reading, and completing home projects.
