McKenzie, Veterinary Technician

McKenzie started her veterinary medicine journey in 2017 as a client service representative with a clinic located in Nebraska. Uncertain if veterinary medicine was her desired career path, she took a year away from the field. McKenzie soon realized her strong love of veterinary medicine and decided to pursue it as her profession. She is currently enrolled with our scholarship program and working towards becoming a licensed technician! McKenzie has spent majority of her life in the Fort Walton Beach area. She considers the Emerald Coast home but being a military family she has had the opportunity to travel the world. McKenzie has 2 cats. Athena was a stray brought into a clinic where love struck at first sight and Athena was welcomed home as McKenzie’s first cat.  Her second cat Phoebe had been surrendered multiple times and the outlook was not so bright until Mckenzie welcomed her home too.  She also has 2 fish, Marble the goldfish and Toothless who resembles a dragon. McKenzie enjoys spending her free time at the beach or meeting with friends for coffee and good conversations.

“I love my Companion family because I know no matter what is thrown at us we will work through it together”
